My wedding is less than 8 months away, so we have been shopping for suits for the various events and ceremony. We were recently at Express looking at suits/shirts/ties, and I bought a few things, including a suit coat and dress shirts. I also signed up for their club / discount program thingy to get a few bucks off my purchase. I gave them my email address and got on with my shopping.
Express is obviously tracking who is purchasing what because only a few days later I got an email from them. And yes, I did say it was ok to email me with any current sales/promotions/deals they may have. Here is the email I received:

Today alone (as of 4pm), I have received over 86 advertising emails with misc offers, steals, deals, coupons, sales, promotions, new products and giveaways- getting me to open a single email is not an easy task. In my opinion, Express did a great job of email marketing. They tracked what I was buying, and thus looking for, and sent me exactly those kinds of options. Next I will need them to send me a coupon code for 50% off the suit I want! We will see what tomorrow brings!
