Why Knot?

I'm getting married this summer, so of course I have tons to do. Unlike days of old, I'm not thumbing through countless magazines, potentially incurring those ever-so-painful papercuts, but instead I'm out (or rather, in) scouring the internet.

The number of resources available to me and every other bride, groom, bridesmaid, mother of the bride, wedding planner, etc.- not to mention your average, everyday crazy person obsessed with weddings- is absolutely mind-boggling and right at your fingertips. Just type a few words, click a button, and bang- a constantly updating, endless flow of resources awaits.

I follow a variety of blogs and different Pinterest boards, but I don't always have the time to read everything. One wedding resource that I follow is The Knot.

The Knot is one of the bigger wedding resources out there, and they do a good job of reaching their market. They'll draw you in with an enticing post, but to read all of it, or see all of the photos, you have to sign in. Not a member? It's ok, it's free and easy to join.

Once you join, the world is your oyster. Add a few of your own wedding details, and bam! you get personalized emails sent to you with timeline/task reminders, special deals and potential local vendors, like the ones below. It's awesome!

In all of the hub-bub of planning, it's sure nice to have someone helping you out with vendor suggestions, possible ways to save money, and exclusive opportunities to join events and contests because hey, let's be honest, everyone likes to feel special. That's right, I'm a Knottie, and I'm proud of it!
