Bonobos is one of the many businesses on Facebook that have
a done a great job in my opinion.

A few words about the business - it started out in 2007 as
an exclusive online men’s retailer offering well-fit pants. Over the years, the
company has expanded their innovative product line to include complementary
products such as shirts, suits, denims, shoes, and accessories.
Their messaging simple, direct, and calls to action – Free and
fast shipping, 365 days returns, and a better fit of clothes. Currently, the Facebook page has approx. 270k likes.
The pages from the get go had a very conversational tone with its fan. I also like the fact that they cognizant of the fact that they shouldn’t be always selling to their base. Hence, there is a good blend of promotional content along with providing content that’s relevant and useful to the target audience.
The company has been known for listening to its customer
pain points and offering solutions that meet most of them if not all. It’s interesting
to see how they are leveraging their Facebook page to gather valuable customer
insights on purchase criteria when men are shopping for a suit. I anticipate
that feedback captured from this forum will drive requirements of design,
pricing, look and feel, etc. for the upcoming men’s suit.
I've found Bonobos business model also very interesting. In a world, where retailers are introducing private labels into their merchandising mix, Bonobos started out with a private label product company i.e. it's Chinos and has now introduced well-known brands (both national and international) into its product mix. Bonobos periodically introduced shirts, sweaters, denim, and much sought after accessories. Moreover, this Fall was the first time that I saw Bonobos Chinos available at Nordstrom also.
