Droid DNA. Resistance is Futile
The new Verizon advertisement on the Droid DNA smartphone has a fantastic Matrix type introduction. It features a patient being wired into the 4G network. It includes doctor looking people injecting the power of the Verizon network into part of your DNA, then upgrading the quad-processor to his brain. The process is complete when the patient looks up and sees the Verizon network on the screen and a Verizon voice says "It's not an upgrade to your phone, it’s an upgrade to yourself.”

Being a sci-fi fan, I enjoyed the commercial and thought it was brilliant. However, after looking into what the DNA smartphone offers, I felt Verizon missed conveying the biggest upgrade the phone offers. It has a 1080p 5" screen! That's better than any phone on the market! This is a good example of how sometimes artistic direction is overshot and becomes larger than the message. But having said that and being a Droid X user for almost 3 years, I may have to upgrade to the Droid DNA and my resistance on the purchase may be futile.
